Dear Rutgers Colleagues,
April is National Stress Awareness Month, an annual initiative since 1992 designed to increase public awareness about modern stress and its impact on our health. We all deal with stress in our professional and personal lives and it can be a struggle to stay grounded and move forward with optimism.
As part of Rutgers University’s ongoing commitment to employee well-being, we are proud to offer a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Lyra Health. This benefit provides up to six mental health therapy sessions, wellness coaching (including coaching on how to manage stress), and additional resources at no cost to employees and their families.
In recognition of Stress Awareness Month, we invite you to join a special Lyra Health workshop designed to help you build resilience, manage stress, and thrive despite difficult situations.
We hope you’ll join us.
Workshop Title: Soaring Past Setbacks: Strategies for Building Resilience
Date: April 15, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Description: Personal and career disappointments are an inevitable part of being human, but resilience can help you bounce back, and even thrive, in the aftermath. This workshop presents a path to resilience via practical, research-supported tools that can help you develop healthy ways of coping with your emotions, cultivate an optimistic mindset, utilize the power of social support, and move toward new goals more effectively. Combined, these tools can promote quicker recovery from life’s setbacks and inspire personal growth.
