University Human Resources provides the leadership, service, expertise, policies and standards necessary to support Rutgers University as an employer of choice. Our vision is to be a strategic partner with university leadership. Using progressive practices, we will meet the needs of a changing environment and workforce. The numerous units and functions under the purview of UHR are listed below.
The TA team partners with hiring managers to source, identify and retain high-quality talent. Our goal is to help you with everything from creating postings to onboarding new hires for temporary and permanent business needs.
The Benefits and Wellness team is your source for all benefits, health, and wellness information. Our total rewards program offers best-in-class benefits and wellness resources to foster a healthy employee-centric workplace.
The Compensation Services team manages the compensation strategy aligned with applicable policy, state and federal regulations, and collective negotiations agreements to ensure equitable and externally competitive salaries.
The HCM team implements department initiated employee transactions in university systems from onboarding a new team member through their last paycheck upon retirement.
The OTD team is responsible for the university’s staff employee development strategy building a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and professional growth.
Workplace Culture serves as a resource for non-aligned employees and managers to help build a respectful workplace and reframe conflict as a catalyst for change and growth.
OneSource serves as a centralized resource for your HR and payroll related inquiries. The OneSource team operates a state of the art call center and provides benefits and leaves administration services.
The BPS team serves as a strategic partner to aid HR Liaisons and departmental leadership with employee relations and engagement, career progression, succession planning and reorganizations.
The OEE team supports the university’s commitment to prevent discrimination and advance equal employment opportunity. We offer accommodations, affirmative action and Title IX compliance, and investigative services.
The PEP team provides guidance on HR policies and non aligned personnel matters. We partner with the Office of University Labor Relations and HR Business Partners to ensure consistent practices.
The HRIS/HRIT team provides centralized IT hardware and software support for Human Resources personnel to maintain day to day operations and enhance customer service.
