Dear Rutgers Colleagues:
Rutgers Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider, Lyra Health, is pleased to present the "Mental Health 101" workshop on December 8 at 10:00 a.m. To attend, please complete the registration form.
This workshop will discuss what mental health is, why it matters, and how understanding mental health and reducing stigma are key to supporting our mental well-being at work and at home. Participants will also learn more about tools that can support their mental health, including mindfulness, behavioral activation, checking their thinking, self-care, and gratitude, and select one skill to practice together during the session.
We all have mental health, which is shaped by our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Our mental health impacts how we think, feel, and behave, but many of us don’t notice the impact it has on our lives and miss opportunities to get or give support when it’s needed. Others may be reluctant to talk about or seek support for mental health because of stigma.
As a reminder, Lyra provides care for your emotional and mental health at no cost to you. No matter what you’re going through, coping with stress, managing anxiety or depression, navigating relationship issues, or whatever else life brings, personalized mental health care from Lyra can help. Sincerely,
Vivian Fernández
Senior Vice President for Human Resources
