Benefits Open Enrollment Deadlines on Oct. 31

Below are several important time-sensitive benefits updates.

Open Enrollment

The 2023 Open Enrollment Period for the SHBP and NJ Tax$ave Program runs from October 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022. This is your annual opportunity to assess your benefits needs and revise your medical, prescription, dental, and pre-tax flexible spending account selections. The deadline for modifications is October 31, 2022, for an effective date of January 1, 2023. If you do not anticipate making any changes, no further action is required to maintain your coverage.

Employees can make changes through Benefitsolver, the State’s online Open Enrollment tool, by logging in or creating a MyNewJersey portal account. If you have trouble creating an account or logging in, please contact NJ OIT support. If you have problems with the Benefitsolver tool, please utilize the support service within the application. Increase in Health Premium Rates:

We have been advised by the State that premium rates will likely increase this year. The revised rates are still being determined at this time and the information will be shared once available. For a list of frequently asked questions, please visit the NJ Division of Pension and Benefits website.
